Brandon Pettit is the chef/owner of the award-winning wood-fired pizzeria Delancey. Opened in August of 2009, Delancey hit the ground running, with lines out the door and favorable mentions in Bon Appetit, Sunset, BlackBook, Everyday with Rachael Ray, Seattle Magazine, Seattle Metropolitan, and the Zagat guides. Brandon has been in the food business since the age of twelve, when he started a small catering company of sorts in his hometown in northern New Jersey, providing local realtors with food for their open houses. He continued to cook throughout high school, college, and graduate school, eagerly feeding his family and any friends that he could wrangle to the table. Meanwhile, he spent most of his free time in search of the perfect pie, frequenting such famous New York pizzerias as Totonno’s, John’s, Patsy’s, and Di Fara. In 2006, Brandon packed up his mixing bowls and recipe notebooks and moved to Seattle to marry well-known food writer Molly Wizenberg. Prior to opening Delancey, he cooked at Boat Street Café and Kitchen and Impromptu Wine Bar, catered private events, and worked as a personal chef. In his spare time, he enjoys making edibles and drinkables that most sane people buy at the grocery store, like vinegar, mustard, goat cheese, mozzarella, root beer, beer, hot sauce and — someday soon — gin, vermouth, and wheat whiskey. As for Brandi Henderson…
